Everybody is different, and so is every move! It would be impossible to give an exact time, as many factors play a considerable role in completing the procedure. Our team will work as hard as possible to get your move done in the shortest possible time.

Being ready to go will decrease the time and ensure the access is excellent. It will help speed the process and keep your costs down.

The booking time indicates the starting time of the procedure. Our representatives will continue working, until they complete the move. For us, no job is too big or small. Our boys will call you when they are around 30 minutes away from your pick-up address.

People often assume that even if we don’t cover everything, homeowner’s or renter’s insurance will; however, this is rarely the case.

We at ‘Removals in Melbourne’ believe that we have full public liability and transit insurance, to cover your goods, in case of accidents on the road or at your residence. Moving involves many fragile goods; most incidents and damage occurs during loading/unloading. Therefore, we highly recommend considering taking out a separate policy to cover damage in such unforeseen circumstances.

We have insurance policies for this specific reason. If you’d like to know more about the insurance policy, then you can request a quote from our friendly staff when they call to confirm your details.

We have public liability insurance. If something happens during the move, you would need to prove that the removalists were negligent, to make a successful claim.

You could purchase transit insurance, from us. It covers your items whilst transiting between your pick up and your drop off. It’s the best way to ensure you’re covered, if any mishap occurs.

We can provide you with various boxes, including garment hanging boxes, wrapping paper, bubble wrap and professional tape. The materials that we use are of good quality, ensuring maximum protection for your goods. We also provide suite covers, piano covers and various sized TV covers. You could discuss the price of our packaging materials during your initial consultation meeting.

The extra $100 is to send the best piano team in your area, with all the equipment required to perform your move, safely; at the same time reducing the risk of damage.

On the moving day, if you have more than initially anticipated, we can help! With interstate moves, we may have extra space on the truck for your items, which can be bought on the day directly from the driver. The other option is to book a bigger truck or team at the last minute. Either way, we can figure something out.

Any item of high value (usually more than $300) that has higher chances of damage, during the move, would need to be professionally wrapped. If you accept this recommendation, we can ensure that the item would arrive in the same way you left it with us.

The time starts when the guys arrive at your property; unlike many companies, we only charge a 30-minute call out fee to your property. Once our staff has secured all your items safely and securely in the truck, they will endeavour to get to your new property as efficiently as they can.

Certain things, such as traffic are out of our hands, and it would be in the minute cost. But remember a few extra minutes will not be rounded up to a full hour like other companies!

The best answer here is “As soon as possible!”. The more time you give us to plan your move, the smoother and stress-free move you could experience. In general, we recommend at least 3 to 6 weeks planning everything and creating contingencies for any foreseen risks that could arise.
